Cashing in Prize Bonds: Cheque or EFT

Hi,
I'm planning on cashing in some prize bonds and was considering the repayment options of cheque or EFT.

I'm inclined to go with cheque as I'm a bit wary of sending out bank details in the post. Is this an overreaction... i.e. even if your bank details get lost in the post there's little to worry about?

Also would you send it in via registered mail? You have to enclose the prize bonds themselves so if they get lost in the post..

You have been asked to send them your bank account number and sort code, I assume.
This information is printed on every cheque you write, so you have sent this information to loads of people in the past. I see little point in worrying about it now.
