Carrying booze on ferry

Hi,
are there any restrictions on the amount of booze you can carry on a ferry? I am travelling to the UK soon and am considering returning on the boat with a bag full of UK high street bottles of brandy, gin, etc for the holidays - needless to say, this is a non-starter with the airlines, but are there any restrictions on the ship I should be aware of....

Good info on Irish Ferries FAQ - there are restrictions depending on type of travel i.e. taking a car or foot passenger

Does this help?[broken link removed]

If not - go into "your trip" & then into "luggage allowances" & you should get the info

Thank you, TLC, that was it. It did not however specify hand luggae weight allowance, but I assume I should be OK with 6-8 bottles in a roll-on case.

Good luck - may as well stock up - maybe we'll even need a brandy to revive us all after the budget - so cheers!
