Carrickmines

Seems this is the new 'hot spot' for suburban development per todays Irish Times.

I'm not so sure. Luas is still a long way off. Sandyford and Cherrywood are absorbing most of the apartment demand in the area. Also development is on wrong side of the M50.

The address sounds good but that is being built into the pricing. Also Carrickmines has no shop, pub etc.

i agree - although being the wrong side of the M50 is not a major no no - it's bout 20 metres from it!

There seems to be a lot of activity in Carrickmines since my last corres. I read SuperQuinn are coming to The Park, Carrickmines. Also I read in the Sun. Bus. Post that Dunnes are anchoring a small shopping centre on Ballyogan Road (half mile from Carrickmines). Sign of the times.
