carpet fitting

Hi there,

Mrs. SB wants a new carpet on the stairs and medium-sized landing ... got a quote of 350, which included a charge of 70 eur for fitting. Does the cost of fitting sound reasnoble?

its reasonable if you are going for a really good wearing carpet, make sure it will wear well as the stairs is one of the busiest area for traffic. Check the grade of the carpet...fitting charge of 70 is good, usually 90 or else free if getting alot of carpets done

This sounds very reasonable for fitting, would you spend an hour or so on your hands and knees for €70? It's a good job when it's done right.

Yeah sounds reasonable. If memory serves me well it also requires a lot of cutting out and matching the pattern? It certainly looks a far harder job than an ordinary room carpet.
