Any info on what it's like to live in Greenore or Carlingford, a friend is looking at a house there however isn't from that area & was wondering what the attitude is to outsiders moving into the area & what the area is like in general. Thanks.
Carlingford would be quiet during the week and busy at the weekends, it gets a few stag/hen parties so it would depend where you buy. You proberly wont find much of a attitude from the locals as it has a lot of holiday homes that are only occupied at the weekends. Greenore would be a nice little village - fairly quiet.
I had a job in the 90's which brought me to Cooley occasionally. I had considerable contact with the people in the area but the beauty of the place and the people totally inspired me. its an area i believe that suffered somewhat during the troubles but from my experience its the only part of County Louth that i would consider moving to.
