I have read The Carers Leave Act 2001 and from what I gather an employee out on Carers Leave can be made redundant for genuine redundancy reasons, ie company closing, company in difficulty etc. So long as the employee on Carers Leave has been selected for redundancy in a fair manner and has been treated the same as other employees considered for redundancy. That is my understanding of the matter. Do any posters agree that this is the case? does anyone have any experience of this?
