Is the carers allowance taxable? If so how does one pay it,is is taken at source of is it self assessment at the end of the year?

If your only income is carers Allowance then you will be below the taxable level. . However if you have other income or your husband or wife is a taxable person you will need to contact the tax office and inform them so it can be coded in to the tax credits.
