I am on Carers Allowance and working fourteen hrs weekly. Weekly wage €140. I just applied for illness benefit with back problem. I have all the criteria 2020 contributions etc etc for Illness Benefit. Will I get to keep my Carers Allowance? And how much Illness Benefit am I entitled to? Thanks
 
You can get half of your carer's allowance in addition to illness benefit.
Illness benefit is currently 203 euro (full rate). It might be lower for you as you were a part time worker.

Carer's Allowance

Carer's Allowance is a weekly social welfare payment to people who are caring for a person who needs support because of their age, disability or illness (including mental illness).
