I have a bsc hons in architectural technology, post grad diploma in fire engineering, many technical qualifications in the energy field, a FAS course in basic project management and half way through a masters in sustainability and about 10 years experience but....... I'm considering a career change due to the severe lack of opportunies for advancement or salary. I can earn 35k as I am and that's unlikely to change in the next 10 years and given my qualifications and experience it just seems a waste of time so the time might be right to jump ship before I invest any more time or money in this industry.
I have always had a fascination with the stock market and the idea of trading etc I like the idea of assessing companies and investing in their future progression but don't have clue if I would be good it or how realistic it would be to try to get into that business. Ideally I don't want to go back to full time study but is there any other way?
as i find myself awake past 5am on a Saturday night/ Sunday morning thinking about changing career I thought I should put it out there and perhaps someone has found themselves in a similer situation or knows someone that has that might have some good ideas?????
Many thanks!!
