I'm currently working as a fund accountant but want to get out of the field. I'v decided to take the qfa qualification to work as a financial advisor. Just wondering really if its a good move? Salary + benefits are fairly good within fund accounting.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Working in sales (where most QFAs tend to start) will generally mean that commission is a much bigger part of the overall package, so it's quite a big change in my opinion.

Thanks for your thoughts, apart from sales (which doesnt sound all that bad) what other areas could I use the QFA in? Seems like you need to have 1-2 yrs of sales exp in most vacancies.
