Hi,

I've recently been made redundant as a Project Manager from a major UK construction management company, i've been looking for similar jobs, but i not sure it what i really want to do.

I graduated from university with a degree in Building Surveying, which i worked for 8 years before moving over to more project management side of construction.

Can anyone advise what jobs would be suitable with the skills i have without having to retrain. I feel that because of this redundancy and the way the construction industry is at the minute, its the best time for a career change.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Project management skills are transferable to many industries. If you don't have a formal PM qualification, then (preferably, but not necessarily) get one and look for PM jobs. The IPMA or the PMI are common certification routes.

Similar circumstances. Has anyone completed the Project Management course in TCD, & if so, is it a worthwhile course
