It appears that yours truly, Joe Punter, is going to have to shoulder additional energy costs and indirect price inflation as we set about reaching our targets under the Kyoto agreement.

Meanwhile, George Bush, president of the largest emission producing state in the world, is giving it to us up the you know where, so he can look after his crooked mates in US industry.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Kyoto, but you do have to ask what is the point when the USA pumps out more crap than the rest of us put together.

Nially,

Kyoto is a lot of nonsense

What is needed is that the real price of oil increases ( even more than it has in the last six months ) that way it is not a user choice as to what the price of fuel is

As you point out the US dont want to bother and ( suprise ) global aviation does not want to either.

Global civil aviation uses more fuel in a week than all of Ireland uses in a year.

Does anyone know how much Ree&air ( for example ) use ?

Is MOL responsible for more carbon release than ESB ?
