Has anyone had problems with Insurance type car warranties?
I bought a car in Northern Ireland and I got an insurance policy type warranty with it. I was told by the dealer that the warranty would cover all major faults and parts, except routine things like services etc..
The only reason i bought the car was because he offered such a comprehensive warranty. The car is a BMW so part cost at lot,
The car broke down, totally.. it just died out of the blue. I only have the car 5 months.
Parts will cost €550 and service another €200.
I called the warranty company to make my claim and I was informed that not one single part required was cover, yet all 3 parts are major electrical and engine parts.
On the warranty documant, It says engine and electrical parts. But no more detail than that.
Has anyone any info or had this issue?
I dont want all the hassel of the legal road because I need my car fixed ASAP and I dont have that kind of money.
