Car tow needed - Walkinstown area

Hi there,

I need to have a car transported a short distance from the Walkinstown area.

Can anybody recommend someone reliable at a reasonable price?

Have been in your position and have never, ever found any commercial operator who would be prepared to move a car for a small fee.

They will want to put the car up on a car transporter and you will pay and pay for this.

Best solution provided the electrics, brakes and tyres are okay is to buy a tow rope, get a large, clear sign saying 'on-tow' for the back window and ask a friend who has a car of the same or larger size to give you a tow.

If any of the above aren't working, then you're looking at your expensive car transporter.

You can buy a rigid towbar extension in Lidl at the moment, ie, not loose like a tow rope, but rigid so that if the towing car slows or stops, so does the towed car. I can't remember how much, but probably €10 or €20 or close to it.
