Agreed. Or try a Ford galaxy or similar. renault senic, VW sharon. I know that they are 7 seaters, but the extra space will come in very handy

Just watch the luggage space. We got a Renault Espace last year for 6 people, but the boot space was limited, so we needed the room created by the 7th seat folded down for the luggage.

I am going to New Zealand next year and thinking of renting a car. Can anyone suggest good internet site/car rental company I should deal from? Can I use my (full) Irish driving license in New Zealand?

we've used carhire 3000 on several occasions and never had any bother, they seem to have cars throughout the world, don't know about the licence.
