Car Rental in Spain

Does anyone have advise on car rentals in Spain? What/Who to trust or not to trust? Automatic.manual?

I've never had any problems with doyouspain, who are in effect brokers for car rental companies. There's a key post on car rental in Spain in the Holiday/travel forum where you will find other recommendations.

I would echo Leo's recommendation for Insurance4CarHire to cover the excess, I just got an email from them this morning offering a 10% discount.

I've used a couple of car rental brokers for Spain and Portugal and found them both to be excellent.

I just booked with autoeurope and got a great deal! €50 cheaper than anyone else and if not in a rush check their site over a few days as they do daily specials!

I have used www.carjet.com and never had a problem, also their prices are normally quite good.

just back and used Hertz as it was the best deal

I'd recommend using Hertz or another internationally recognised brand.

The most important thing is to ensure that the price you are expecting covers everything, as the companies are well known to land people with extras at the airport when you'll have no choice.
