Car Line-in for MP3 Player

I use an FM transmitter to play MP3's in my car radio. Works OK but suffers some signal degradation and is heavy enough on batteries. Has anyone ever modified their car radio to incorporate an AUX line-in to play them directly? By the way the car is a 05 A4.

I fitted an iPod compatible stereo which was one of the best things I did as the stereo controlls the iPod. For me the best option.

There is a nifty VAG kit for VW, Audi, Skoda, etc, depending on which head-unit is factory-fitted to the car; all nice with wiring hidden and neat.

Talk to your friendly VAG dealer, they'll be delighted to get someone calling in.
