Car insurance premium increase

I just got my renewal for car insurance and its €393 more than last year (no penalty points and full no claims 6 yrs +).
So I did a few quick quotes on line and the cheapest I have found is €200 dearer than last year !
Anyone else finding the same ? I thought premiums were supposed to be coming down not going up !

I was with Hib 2003 their premium this year (august) was about 60 euros less. ended up with Quinnlife more than €100 cheaper than Hib. Have you tried them?
 
Yep

Yep tried them & few others. Cheapest I got is €150 more than last year. Premium isn't due for another 6 weeks so I'll check closer to the time. Was just sorely p'd off when I got the renewal

i got compeditive quotes from 123.ie, they have a 10 day or so turnaround on policy so you need to be organised

i also know of a 32 yrold male friend of mine who was quoted 850k from axa (whom hes been with for years) he did online quote with eaglestar which came in around 670 when he told axa they matched it - same policy details SO THERE
