Hi there

If one has to have a procedure and would not be driving for a few months,

Is it possible to "pause" cover on an insurance policy as is possible with car tax - declaring the car off the road?
To declare the car off the road for that specific time for tax and insurance or what is the best scenario to manage this?

Yes, you can generally 'pause' it for up to 11 months. However, you probably want to keep the fire & theft cover? Talk to your insurance company and they'll tell you what options are.

You can declare your car off the road here for a period of 3 to 12 months. If you do so, make absolutely sure that no one is tempted to take it out on the road.
