Why not have it like some parts of the world where they have it so the VRT covers third part only insurance on the car for it life - cuts out people having no insurance if they hit you plus it introduces PROPER competition into the market.
Harney did feck all with PIAB - the insurance companies are a discrace making massive profit with people forced to pay it by the way the law is setup
surely if things were done correctly then the gardai and the courts too would be freed up.
or how about insuring the car only not the person? In America 16 yr olds drive ! here people cant drive because of crippling insurance until ALOT older
oh ! and the car test waiting lists.........
