Hi guys

I am off to Orlando in 3 weeks time and I was wondering if anybody could point me in the direction as to where I should hire a car for Orlando.

We are looking into hiring a 7 seater for 2 weeks and so far the best I have found is http://www.uscarhire.co.uk/ and I am about to book it but before I do I was wondering if anybody knows of anywhere I might get a better deal.

Thanks

As you're going to Orlando then you should try for savings codes from www.mousesavers.com - here is a link to the page with the discount codes: http://www.mousesavers.com/rentalcar.html

You will need to browse through the different providers to find the best discount for a 7 seater. However the price reduction can be pretty big in some cases.

For example there is a code for Alamo customers that use their mastercard to book the car which will get you a blanket 20% discount.

Happy shopping & enjoy Orlando!

We always use Alamo. Never had any problems with them and are using them again this year (November). This year I booked thru' a UK agent I found on another forum. PM me if you want their phone number/contact details. They have come up cheaper than anyone else and have been recommended. Enjoy Orlando. Roll on November!!!

Make sure that your booking include the insurance you want in the car. I was caught for insurance once when i collected the car and this brought up the price by about 20%. I always use the discount codes as mentioned and they are great.

I go to orlando fairly regular. The best places to book are the UK sites as the price you pay includes for all the insurances etc etc. I use the following company fairly regular and they use Alamo and Dollar who are both located in the main terminal in MCO. Hertz and some of the others are off site so you will have to catch a bus.

hi
have a look at the www.floridacarhire.com site
we have used them many times and always very happy with the cars.
all cdw ldw etc included in the price
if you are saying in disney you can pick the car up from the disney car care centre on site or equally at the airport
it was an Alamo car rental and the price on florida car hire was cheaper than booking direct with them
enjoy the holiday wish we were back there again (only home 3 weeks !!)

We always use Alamo or Hertz. Found the Hertz Neverlost GPS is very good compared to the Alamo one which did not seem to be as up to date.

Can anyone advise and explain the different insurance and other add ons you need to factor in when looking at car hire prices for the US

There is the flat rate and the state tax which is simple but what else do i need.

CDW or something?
3rd party?

I want to be covered in the event of an accident but don't want to end up paying for stuff that's not really needed or useful
