Hi All

Just wondering if anyone knows who is offering the best rates for car finance. Was thinking of borrowing €7,000 to but a car.

Hi If you check out the bank websites you should get the info on them or if you try car dealers the usually have wat rate of finance the do.
 
Usually if you can arrange the finance in advance and then go to a dealer with no obligations you can do a better deal. AIB I understand consider 7K as a personal loan rather than car finance specifically and quote in the region of 230 for 36 months.

Of course these are just indicator figures and not a guantee you will get the loan.
 
don't forget car finance is a HP agreement and as a result a very different result from a loan if things go wrong. Check out www.itsyourmoney.ie for loan comparisons and to understand HP agreements

Good point; if all goes pear shaped for you during the period if you have purchased using a loan you can sell to pay off the balance or a sizable chunk. Careful though to try and get plan that does not penalize for paying off early.
 
Can anyone tell me if a motor plan rental purchase scheme means the same as hire purchase?
