Car engine gone - what to do? How to dispose of car?

Looking for advice - partners engine has packed up!
2001 - Ford Focus -

To cut a long story short, it broke down on M7 - and its now towed to Laois! (we live in Dublin).

Anyway... the garage in laois advised cost for car - to replace engine / labour would be circa 1500.

The car has other things to be done also... So rather than put good money after bad - it may be best to get rid!!

If a decision is made NOT to get car fixed - what do we do with it? Any advice on where "dead" cars need to be deposited?

Perhaps you could look for a reconditioned engine and have that fitted. If you want to get rid of the vehicle contact a breakers yard who may take it off you for parts.
