My little poverty-spec 2008 Toyota Corolla is a sad sight. 1 previous owner from new, 113,000 kms (70,000 miles) on the clock, mechanically sound as the proverbial pound. Unfortunately, the gel coat has started peeling from the bonnet, roof, and boot and the best quotes I've managed to get locally are in the region of €400 per panel.
By dint of hard work, the use of T-Cut, and ancient muscles, I've restored both sides of the car and the plastic bumpers to acceptable (to me) appearance. Unfortunately, this has made the peeling panels look worse in comparison.
I'm looking for recommendations for a painter to do a good job at a bargain price job. Local mechanics have told me to leave it alone as the work will add zero to the value of the car. I don't care about that. Cost and location, location, location are critical, as is time. I can't be without the car for long, thus if f a loaner could be factored in that'd be great. I have comprehensive insurance with driving-other-cars extension in place.
I'm not asking for much, but TIA, photies attached.
