Car allowance + BIK

Hi all,

hope someone can help me with this. The company I work for has recently taken on a team leader. He is to receive 1000 euro per month car allowance. Is this to be treated as BIK in the same way as company paid VHI is? Or what way should I work it?

Car allowances are subject to BIK income tax and PRSI deductions as far as I know. Is [broken link removed] of any help?
