I don't know any solicitors but have you done a proper background check on Cape Verde? Speaking to some property people who have been out there they said there is no way in hell they would invest there. Away from the developments its basically a third world country. There are no amenities and nothing to help the local economy. It also has little or no water. So how on earth are they going to keep all the planned golf courses going? If you check out the CIA World Factbook it tells you a bit about it including "This island economy suffers from a poor natural resource base, including serious water shortages exacerbated by cycles of long-term drought". Thirty percent of the population are below the poverty line and GDP is only $6,200.
If you've done your homework and are happy with your decision then go for it - if not then don't jump with all the other lemmings
