Can't get desk-top to boot system

In my infinite wisdom I wiped a load of files from my desk top last night. Figured that any big boo-boos could be fixed by doing a partial system restore. Turned on the computer this morning and all thats coming up is

NTLDR is missing
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart

and when I do this it goes back to the Intel screen and then pulls this message up again!

Have I completely stuffed my PC

Hi Hanson, safe mode? what is this and how do I do it? Really shouldn't be allowed to mess with files on my computer as I don't have a clue what I'm doing!

It might work for you. Take the 'Last Known Good configuation option' if you can get into that screen. Good luck.

thanx for the advice hansov - couldn't get the system into safe mode, so rang PC world. They're fixing it and hope to be able to retrieve my files. Find out in about a week.

As was inferred by the eye rolling smiley - complete STUPIDITY!! Expensive lesson tho - can't do without a PC, so bought a new one today
