Can't connect wirelessly

I'm trying to connect to the internet via a router provided by my internet provider (perlico) I have a wireless router (belkin) Everything appears to be in order. The icon shows "Wireless Network Connection Not connected" Anyone know how I connect. I am using windows XP. The wireless connection worked until recently.

Right click on the "wireless " icon
Select 'Status'

they click on the 'View wireless connection' buttons, and then select 'refresh network list'

Can you see your router when you do this?

If you can, select the router and click connect
Does this give an error? what is the error?
