cannot download macromedia flash player

a number of websites i have tried to use have required me to download macromedia. nickjr.com for example. I have seemingly downloaded it several times (and rebooted) it always says my download was successful but I don't have it. any ideas what I am doing wrong here?
 
yeah mate..i seems to have the exact same problem when visiting youtube.com
i check the java script setting and its on..i reinstalled the java and macroplayer millions time and still no good..
 
Yeah, I've been haviong the same problem with IE6 on my work PC, works fine in Firefox though. Also, no problems in IE7 on my home PC.
The flash player install for IE seems to be a plugin whereas for Firefox it's a setup program.
 
this doesn't work. Remember it's a plugin in IE. I've tried removing the ActiveX control in C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files and reinstall - doesn't work. It used to work but not anymore with IE.
 
btw i tried install everything and ie7..still not working..
 
0. IMHO web based ActiveX install is cr.. bad.
1. Uninstall Flash Player by the following utility to clean it up properly: [broken link removed]
2. Install Flash Player from MSI package: [broken link removed]
