Cannot access Amazon.com

Hi guys,

I can't access amazon.com from my home computer. I can get to amazon.co.uk/.de etc but not .com - any ideas what might be happening here? It appears to me that something might be blocking that url but what should I look for?

Amazon.com is working OK (albeit a bit slower than usualy even on 56Kbps dial-up) for me right now. Do you have a firewall that might be blocking access? If you open a DOS command shell and type ping www.amazon.com what are the results?
 
Check that you are not blocking cookies from that site (tools/internet options / privacy, and see the edit button). You might see the red "no entry" icon at the bottom of your browser if this was the case.
 
Destination net unreachable is the result of the ping. Perhaps it is my firewall - I am using Zone Alarm. Very frustrating though.
