My wife, now reduced to current wife status, led me on a wild goose chase around Dublin last Saturday looking for whole candied peel (as opposed to the flavourless raedy-chopped type sold in tubs in supermarkets) for adding to ingredients of a Christmas cake.
Would anybody know of a delicatessen, preferably in Dublin City Centre or the Northside, selling whole candied peel? Mail order or internet supplier would also do.
We tried Magills, in Clarendon Street amongst others.
