Irish Life Health Cancelling an Aviva Policy

Hi there,
My Aviva Healthcare policy was due for renewal the middle of last month and I stupidly assumed that it would be the same monthly rate as we were previously paying. A direct debit went out today for €70 more than before and having checked online, it appears that our premium has increased and I am not in a position to afford this. Does anyone know if I can cancel this policy at this stage or is it too late?

I cancelled mine after renewal. I paid by monthly instalments. I rang Aviva said I couldn't afford the payments . The vey pleasant person I was talking to suggested I try an alternative more affordable cover which I declined .
I recieved a letter 2 days later advising me the cover had been cancelled.
Job done

Thank you so much. I didn't get the same response when I had to cancel my VHI policy last year so I was dreading what they'd say to me tomorrow. I will sleep easy tonight!

What plan are you on ? How much , how many ? Don't be too hasty.

You could easily save 40% off this year's premium with Aviva for 2 adults and 2 children by simply adjusting the cover.
