Folks,

We are looking at taking a 2 week break in Feb for some sunshine and water sports/golf.
Searches on the site throw up the Canary Islands as a potential destination from Dublin.
We have never been to the Canaries before but would be keen on doing some wind-surfing
and playing some golf also too. Can anybody recommend which of the islands would be best
for these activities? would people recommend a package holiday (accom included) or a DIY effort.

thanks

Fuerteventura is well known for its watersports

http://www.flagbeach.com/ - think they do accom packages too.

I think the island has only one golf course though.

I love the resort of Corralejo, though haven't been to any of the others so can't comment on them.

I would have said previously to go DIY but Ryanair have stopped flying to the island so flight options are a little harder to find, but there are still options out there. Accommodation can be got for next to nothing.

Gran Canaria is great for the Watersports. I know Peurto Rico has 3 mini golf courses but not sure about the real thing!
