Can you sell an investment property if the proceeds wont cover the loan

Are there any options to sell an investment property (Interest only tracker) that is valued well under what that the outstanding loan is for?
I'm not interested in renting it out anymore and want to offload it.
Is it normal to get another loan to cover the difference between the sale price and the remaining sum to be paid.
