Can you change the language on an ipod nano?

I just got back from China where I bought an 8gb ipod nano. The packaging was in English but when I turned it on the menu and all the options are in Chinese characters. Does anyone know if its possible to change the language to English (similar to a mobile phone)??

Thanks Donaldo, I followed the instructions to no avail. I have a Chinese friend who might be able to help. At least now I know that its possible to change the language!
