can photo id for SW claim be of maiden name

Hi,
My wife, of 3 months, was made redundant on Tue. She took my name when we got married and has changed nearly all her utility bills and bank statements etc over to her new name.
She has yet to change her passport or drivers licence over, meaning that she has no Photo ID with her "new" name on them.
Can she use these photo id's in conjunction with our marriage cert when making a claim and then send off for new passport/drivers licence asap.
Or does she need to apply for these and wait for them before making a claim.
