Can I set trading losses against capital gains?

Was wondering can you offset Case 1 losses against Capital gain losses?
Or is it just the case you can only gain relief through offset of CGT losses against CGT gains?

Captial Gains Tax is a separate tax to Income Tax. You cannot set off losses / gains from either against the other.
