Hi all,
We are hoping to get sale agreed on a house and I am trying to understand if we need planning permissions on few changes we are thinking about. I am new to all that, never owned a property, so your advice will be greatly appreciated.
1. Can we plaster and paint side (but facing the road) red brick wall without permission?
The front of the house is mix red brick+ painted white/cream. The house is on a corner site, so this side wall is actually facing the road. All other semi-s on the street have their side walls plastered and painted.
2. If we decide to build a single storey garage to the side at some point (there is enough space for a car), do we need permission? We will use the whole length of the side wall but again, this would be towards the road, so the roof for example will be visible from the street.
