You can ensure the item is sent Delivered Duty Paid, UPS and most carriers regularly shipping to the US and other non-EU locations will offer this option.

Many larger retailers here will provide a duty paid delivery service to the USA.

Amazon.com is an option. You can use your normal login and add a USA address and recipient
