My partner and I have been together for two years now , we only moved in together one year ago , my partner has been out of work since February 2006 and was trying to start up a new business but that market she was looking for not there , hence it did not launch . My partner has been on the dole since July / August last as she was pregnant and could not get any work .She is still out of work and looking for a job , we have five month old baby boy .
The question that I am asking is can I claim for her tax credits as I am supporting both mother and child , we get children allowance , if I do claim for her tax credits what’s happens when she gets back to work .Any help would be great
