Can I check previous planning requests

Hi all

just wondering if anyone can tell me if I can check whether a house I am looking to purchase has previosuly applied for and had planning permission rejected.

DId you try searching on the county councils website - I don't know how far back their records go but they would probably tell you in person as well.
 
Dont know how up to date other Council web sites are but here in Donegal it will show up applications going back to circa 1990.

You are better off going in to the local planning office and ask to see the planning map register
 
If you go into the local county coucil sites e.g. Kildare.ie, or meath.ie and look under planning you can search the previous applications. they are all different to each other and some are more user friendly then others, Which County are you looking for?
