That's the same number I rang, and they sent me into the branch (who in turn sent me back to that phone number). Is it not a bit mad that they make it so difficult? Is there really a need to call anyone, let alone have to speak to someone face to face? It's not like I'm asking for a seven-digit mortgage; just an overdraft for a few grand. I've been a customer since the 1990s, so they ought to be able to decide pretty quickly - if not instantly - whether or not I'm a good credit risk. Plus, the fact I've been with them so long gives a clue to my age (= considerable!), so if I can figure out how the interweb works, surely they can?!!!
