Can doctor have their child present during examination of an unrelated minor?

I'm 14 and male. I'm going to be going to a doctor's appointment because I have a skin infection. When the appointment was being made the doctor asked my mother if her 12-year-old daughter could stay in the room but I told my mother and my doctor that I did not want her daughter to be in the room as I would be completely naked during my examination. Are they allowed to do this or can I tell the doctor to make her daughter leave the room?
 
As you are a minor, you must have another adult present; you have the right to ask that superfluous people not remain, medical students would be an example

I take it the 12 year old girl is either a half or step sibling; but I'm confused with your wording.

Is the doctor in question also your mother?
 
The doctor is not my mother and the girl is not my sister, the girl is the doctor's daughter. The doctor said the reason she wants her daughter to be in the room is so her daughter could shadow/observe her while she works and learn about her job.

and definitely not because she's performing her own childcare while on the job, right?
 
Very unprofessional of Doctor, no the Doctor is not allowed to do this, you have declined and that should be the end of it.
This would make me a 57 year old male very uncomfortable for many reasons.
 
I've edited the thread title to be more meaningful and explain the situation a little more clearly. Let me know if I've gotten anything wrong.
 
When is this appointment? I have seen you post this exact question on another site a couple of days ago and someone there said they had seen it elsewhere too.

Ok that makes it much simpler to answer.

You say no & let your parent know also.

If they disagree, stand up and leave.

This will not be easy for you as a 14 year old; take a deep breath & practise in advance what you are going to say.

If your parent won't advocate for you as they should, you will have to advocate for yourself.

I am a 49 year old man and I wouldn't be happy with a child being in a doctors surgery. A child wouldn't have the maturity to fully understand confidentiality and the seriousness of breaking such confidences. Never mind you only being a couple of years older than her, it would be very awkward being naked in front of her.

And if my doctor thought it was alright for me to stand naked in front of her 12 year old daughter, I'd change doctor and make a complaint.
