Can anyone recommend a reliable cost efficient renewable energy source to install

Hello all,
Am presently building a dormer type house in Roscommon. The roof is in progress at the minute.
I never really thought about renewable energy untill the last couple of weeks. We are definately putting a solid fuel stove in the house with back boiler to heat approx. 20 rads, an oil condenser boiler, and possibly maybe solar panels / tubes for hot water if someone can give me pros and cons etc I 'd appreciate it.
Also a good reliable installer / supplier in the north west or there abouts.
