Hi everyone,
Is it possible for a minor to purchase and hold shares in their own right or under the trusteeship of a parent? The money to purchase the shares comes from presents of cash received by the child over the last few years. No transfer of parental assets or tax manouevres, just an attempt to beat the miserable interest rates on savings accounts offered to the under 18s and the corrosive effect of inflation on cash.
Thanks
