camcorder deal - good or bad value???

Help would be much appreciated - looking at this camcorder from aldi. Told it is quite good. but im not convinced. Would anyone have more experience with this type of good and know if it is a good deal. I dont want anything fancy - just something to record the memories... and play it quickly enough on a dvd player. GOOD OR BAD VALUE???????
