G gipimann Registered User Messages 5,173 28 Feb 2012 #2 The maximum amount payable to you as a family is the maximum of the JSB rate for 2 adults and one child which is currently €342.60 pw This will be divided between you, although the JSB claimant will probably get a higher share as they will be paid the maximum single rate of €188

G gipimann Registered User Messages 5,173 29 Feb 2012 #4 You could certainly apply for FIS - it's not just for one-parent families. Entitlement would be based on the hours worked (must be a minimum of 19 per week) and a means assessment.
