Calculating tiling requirements

Is there an easier way of calculating tiling needs other than dividing wall height by tile height and wall width by tile width and multiplying?

just multiply height by width to get total area in m2 - every tile shop sells by m2 not by number of tiles.

Don't forget to add on a percentage for wastage.

Allow yourself one extra box of tiles and don't make the mistake that we made where we don't have even one extra tile so if anything goes wrong we're bunched
