I am considering moving house and am looking at Cabra, Dublin 7 as a possibility.

I do not know much about the area, have only been there once but have been browsing on Daft and Myhome.ie and it looks like you get alot for your money in Cabra.

I was looking at a house for sale on Inver Road and am wondering if there is anyone who knows this area and who might lend some advice: -

  • Is it in a safe location?
  • What are the amenities like?
  • Is the walk to city centre (i.e. Dame Street) do-able?
  • What is the public transport service like?
  • Are there any parks nearby (we have a 2 year-old)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Inver is not a bad road. The church is at the top of the road and at the moment it looks ****e becase one half of the land has been handed over to the corporation for more old folkes flats and is being neglected at the moment.

John Paul park is 2 mins away on the Ratoath Road and it is a large space with leisure centre and kids playground. And don't forget the phoenix park, only 10 mins further walk.

A walk to Dame St would take 45 mins.
