Hi trying to decide between these 2 MPV's. In don't require 7 seats just a good size car with a bit of height, a good safety rating for baba's and a big boot! I test drove the c-max and loved it (still ahve to try the verso). Has anyone any reports on either of these (good or bad!) and which models
We have just got a 2.0D Verso about 3 weeks ago. It is 2yrs old with 12k miles on it. Can't give any comparison to the C-Max but my wife finds the Verso excellent. I did a lot of review readings on mpv's before we bought and the Verso comes out on top every time.
It also has a 5* safety rating which is great. We never use the 2 rear seats so we get use out of the boot which is plenty big. All 3 rear seats move back & forward independent of each other and they also tilt separately which is great for long distance.
At the moment we haven't had the chance to use it on long journeys so I'm not sure what the mpg figures are like for that.
It feels very well built also.
We have the Sol spec so its very well kitted out with cruise & climate control. It also has an additional power outlet for the 12V in the rear for the kids. Plenty space between front & back and you can even fit an adult comfortably in the back between 2 kids seats. Plenty storage pockets also all around.
Saw them do a review on Top Gear on the C-Max and it got good review also.
Can you expand on this, I've posted a couple of queries on the Verso in another thread (tosullivan actually gave me some excellent feedback). I don't need 7 seats but I do want a large boot....
well Carpenter, Toyotas are not known to be great handling cars so the response from steering/suspnsion etc would be better from the Ford. Really depends what you're after. C-Max has just 5 seats and there is the odd time we'll use the 7, so Verso was better for us, plus I needed peace of mind with the Toyota
